"Examensbevis som inträdesbiljett på arbetsmarknaden" - En kvalitativ studie om anställningsbarhet och kunskaper inom socialt arbete

The aim of this study is to examine which attributes supervisors find most attractive when employing a new colleague. The dissertation was carried out through interviewing seven supervisors within social work, all of whom were searching for a new team member. The word employability has, in this study become central and relates to something that can make a person more or less employable. It also infers that certain knowledge, skills or characteristics may be more attractive than others for a person to have when applying for a job. The results suggest that attributes which increase an individual’s chance of becoming employed were practical knowledge and skills such as documentation and work experience. Theoretical knowledge is essential in a sense that you are required to hold a degree to get access to the labor market in the first place, although the respondents are not focused on the application of such theory in practice.
